AC Milan’s Domori and rivals Inter in the UCL semi-final derby
Milan’s two biggest clubs meet in the Champions League final hoping to book their place in the European finals. This is the first time in 20 years that AC Milan and Inter have clashed in the competition so late, but their meeting guarantees the first Italian rival in the final since 2017.
Both clubs have history in the competition, with Inter last winning the trophy under Jose Mourinho in 2010, while Milan dominated the Champions League at the turn of the millennium and into the 90s. They are evenly matched domestically with the current fourth and fifth pairing in Serie A, and both teams will recognize this prime opportunity to return to European football’s biggest stage.
AC Milan star Raffaele Leo’s fitness has been the main talking point ahead of the game, but Milan will make a late call on his participation after the Portuguese winger suffered a hamstring injury. The winners of this semi-final will face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in Istanbul on June 10.
