Caracas, November 4 (EFE).- Venezuela and Vietnam are preparing „major agreements” with the Caribbean country’s President Nicolás Maduro and a decision soon on political, economic and technological issues. Representatives of the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam visit Caracas.
The head of state said through the social network, economy, technology, politics, agriculture, fishing and „many more”.
State channel Venezolana de Television (VTV) aired images of the working meeting, according to public media, to strengthen cooperation between the two countries that established diplomatic relations in December 1989, nearly 34 years ago.
Phan Dinh Trac, a member of the Politburo and head of the Party’s Internal Affairs Commission, headed the Vietnam Party delegation that arrived in the South American country last Thursday.
The two countries plan to increase trade, which has tripled in the past three years, from 20 million dollars in 2020 to 70 million dollars now, according to the Venezuelan Presidency’s press office.
Venezuela and Vietnam „continue to build a relationship of mutual cooperation for the development and well-being of their people.”
The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) met the group on Friday, where they signed an agreement envisioning strengthening cooperation between the two parties. EFE
