Tom Hollander Says Tom Holland Got Seven-Eight Avengers Bonus | Tom Hollander

British actor and White Lotus villain Tom Hollander is often mistaken for Spider-Man star Tom Holland, but sometimes it works in his favor – like the other man's seven-figure movie bonus.

„It was really hard because I was the first one here, but he's very popular,” Hollander told Late Night host Seth Meyers. „I don't really misunderstand him, but I always misunderstand him in non-visual situations.”

Hollander, who also had turns in Pirates of the Caribbean and Pride and Prejudice, once shared an agent with the younger Marvel star.

The 56-year-old told Meyers how a friend got the wrong bonus while watching a £300-a-week play. „I'd done a BBC show for 30 grand or something that was going to get me through the next year or so and I'd be sitting dully in the audience and thinking, 'This is fantastic, I'm so prosperous' …

“I'm going to go see him later [my friend] And slightly support him and tell him how wonderful it is. Then the break came and I thought to check my emails.

That's when he found a message containing a payslip for Holland – labeled as the first installment of the box office bonus for The Avengers.

„It's an astonishing amount of money,” Hollander said. “It is not his salary. This is his first box office bonus. Not the full box office bonus, but the first one. And it was more money than I ever had [seen]. That's a seven-figure sum.”

„My bitterness is gone,” he said.

Hollander also said that he sometimes introduced „excited, then confused, disappointed kids” who thought they were meeting Spider-Man.
