Even as rescuers carefully searched the building for any survivors, workers were busy trying to stabilize the site.
The children, including the 8-year-old daughter of Kevin Geiger from the United States, were starting their school day when the earthquake struck.
„The teachers said, 'Get under the desk, get under the desk'!” Claire told of her dramatic morning.
„I was very happy that she was calm and not afraid,” her father said.
Taiwan was still feeling the tremors Thursday, but Claire told CBS News she wasn't afraid because her school taught her what to do.
