The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Economy, Wale Edun, has said that the completion of the Ogun State Agricultural Cargo Airport will add value to the lives of the people and contribute to the rapid development of the state and the nation. Economy.
The minister, who disclosed this on Friday after being conducted around the airport by Governor Thabo Abiodun, described the airport as a major economic project of the Abiodun-led administration.
He said, “I had the opportunity to be here before and the ARISE Agro-Commodity Industrial and Export Processing Zone is a major economic achievement that speaks to the potential for rapid growth of the economy, which Mr. President should maximize such investments.
“It is the kind of investment that will grow the economy, create jobs and reduce poverty, which is good for the people of Ogun State in particular and Nigeria in general, breathing new economic life into the region.
“As for this particular facility, I see this airport, which has the longest runway in Nigeria, receiving the finishing touches to make it a full-fledged international passenger and cargo airport.”
