Ford is introducing the new Escape in the country, which shows extensive changes to the exterior and interior design, as well as new options in hybrid technology. This update offers three versions that offer the best in connectivity, security and above all performance. This is thanks to its EcoBoost® 2.0 turbo and 2.5L Atkinson-Cycle I-4 hybrid engines, equipped with the most eco-friendly version.

High efficiency and power
Within this commitment, Ford offers the Titanium AWD version with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost® turbo engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This version has intelligent all-wheel drive, which allows for greater efficiency, as the system is capable of disconnecting all-wheel drive when the terrain does not warrant its use, thus reducing resistance and promoting energy savings.
In addition, this edition includes two hybrid models whose hybrid 2.5-liter I-4 Atkinson cycle engine delivers 192 hp, exceptional consumption and high performance, both in the city and outside. This engine can be mated to all-wheel drive or 4×2 to meet the needs of every customer. Thanks to this hybrid block, the updated SUV is capable of reaching up to 800 km of autonomy with one tank.
The new Escape’s hybrid powertrain consists of an electric motor that can propel the vehicle automatically when starting and at low speeds. It is added to an internal combustion engine that fills it when power demand is high. Among other new features, the SUV has an updated, lighter, smaller and higher-capacity lithium-ion battery that is strategically located under the floor, avoiding encroachment on cabin space. In addition, it is liquid cooled, which, unlike other hybrids, prevents overheating and heat transfer to the room. It should be noted that it is still environmentally friendly with an approximate useful life of 15 years.
Sporty and refined design
The new Escape has an aggressive and sporty design that stands out for its sophistication from every angle. In all its versions, the new black mesh grille and large rear spoiler stand out with Ford’s trapezoidal DNA.
It also includes a revised hood design, new LED headlights, new fog lamps and a new front and rear bumper design. In the ST-line versions, all surfaces are painted monochromatic, including the moldings, providing a more dynamic and elegant look.
To complement its new styling, it includes a 'coast to coast’ front LED light bar framed by headlights and new luxury wheels varying in size between 18 and 18.19 inches, depending on the version.
Its interior is not far away, as it provides a break from the outside world, creating an atmosphere of comfort and warmth. Its seats are upholstered in charcoal-colored fabric or leather, and the ST-Line version includes red stitching for a sportier look: these stitches can also be found on the center armrest, mats and steering wheel.
The updated line includes heating in the front seats and the possibility to slide the rear seats up to 15 cm, to get more legroom for passengers in the second row or to increase cargo space. For better interior lighting and a sense of freedom, all three versions are equipped with a double-pane panoramic roof with electric operation.

Ford’s new SUV is smart and features the SYNC®4 system, which offers navigation and wireless connectivity to Apple Car Play® and Android Auto®. In addition, it adds a 13.2-inch touchscreen that allows multiple functions to be executed simultaneously. In the center console, and depending on the version, passengers can wirelessly charge their electronic devices, such as cell phones or headphones, thanks to a dedicated panel.
In addition to advanced driving assistance within the Ford Co-Pilot360™ package, offering dual front, side, knee and surround airbags with rollover sensor, a driving experience full of safety, confidence and peace of mind is possible. Now includes anti-collision assist for intersections and reversing, which helps drivers avoid potential collisions when crossing, turning or backing up.
For its part, the Collision Avoidance Assist function with Emergency Braking uses advanced technology to identify potential collisions with vehicles or pedestrians in the Escape’s path. Thanks to its action, it is possible to reduce the intensity of the collision and, in some cases, completely avoid frontal impacts.
This technology is activated when an imminent threat is detected: it issues a warning and displays a message in the vehicle’s message center. If the driver’s reaction is insufficient, the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system prepares the sensitivity of the brake assist and provides full response when the brakes are applied. In situations where the driver does not take appropriate action and a collision is unavoidable, the brakes may automatically apply.
On the other hand, Blind Spot Assist System or Blind Spot Assistant, which not only alerts the driver with an amber light on the side mirrors, but also uses steering correction to prevent unsafe action by the driver. Ignoring the blind spot information system’s warnings can detect other vehicles and motorcyclists in blind spots.
