Massive Implications for the WWE Championship Match on SmackDown; A very long title can be dangerous

Friday night's latest episode of SmackDown revealed some interesting WWE statistics.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance defeated the duo of Chelsea Greene and Piper Niven to capture the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship last month. Their upcoming challenge on this week's show involves defending their titles against The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Ahead of their upcoming title defence, some fascinating statistics have emerged. Carter and Chance are 140 days away from becoming the longest reigning Women's Tag Team Champions in company history. The current record of 180 days is held by none other than the duo of Asuka and Sane, which was achieved during their 2019 run.

„The current title holders have 140 days left to own the longest reign with the @WWE Women's Tag Team Titles. The current holders challenge them tonight on #SmackDown.”

With Damage CTRL in their corner, Asuka and Kairi Sane will no doubt approach the match with confidence, aiming to defend their streak and defend the tag team titles.
