Marcus Rashford was left shaken but unhurt when he crashed his £700,000 Rolls Royce outside Manchester United’s Carrington training ground on Saturday night.
Following United’s 1-0 win at Burnley, Erik ten Hoag and his players returned to Carrington by team bus before heading home in their private cars.
England international Rashford’s journey was soon brought to an abrupt halt following an accidental collision with another car.
Despite significant damage to his car, Rashford, along with the other driver involved, was able to walk away unscathed, and when police officers arrived at the scene to manage the wreck, there was no need for an ambulance.
Footage of the incident has emerged on social media, showing Rashford’s Rolls-Royce heavily mangled by pieces of its rear bumper and strewn on the side of the road with hazard lights flashing. A nearby power pole on the traffic island also snapped following the collision.
A witness who saw Rashford diverted home by police as a result of his accident said Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes quickly checked on his teammate as he made his way home from training. on the ground.
While Rashford was concussed by the accident, he rules out any injury and has yet to be ruled out of contention for Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash with Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old is a keen collector of luxury cars and recently added a third Rolls-Royce – a £560,000 Cullinan Blue Shadow – to his growing collection of supercars.
Other cars in Rashford’s expensive collection include a £280,000 McLaren 765 Long Tail and a £350,000 Lamborghini Urus Performante.
