Cecyte Sonora students participate in the Latin American Science and Technology Competition

Hermosillo, Sonora; May 17, 2024.- Students from the College of Science and Technology Studies of the State of Sonora (Seaside) have won a silver medal in the Infomatrix Latin American Science and Technology Competition.

Students from the Esqueda campus, Samantha Arriola Torres and Sergio Felipe Lagunas Correa, in the company of their faculty advisor, Daniela Ortega Cota, excelled in their ASTRONETA project.

Young winners and their faculty advisors set an example of commitment, creativity and improvement to the entire school community of the said sub-system.

ASTRONETA, he explained, is a teaching manual with various experiments for different ages, with the aim of encouraging and awakening interest in astronomy from preschool, elementary, middle and high school children; With ten tests for each educational level at a low cost.

The Latin American Society of Science and Technology hosted the competition in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, where representatives from various institutions in the country met.
