Emergency workers were searching for dozens of people who were still missing Thursday Taiwan was hit by its powerful earthquake Over the decades. At least 10 people were killed in the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit people on their way to work on Wednesday.

In a remote valley, a drone spotted a group of miners stranded on a cliff when an earthquake triggered landslides that destroyed all roads.
CBS News partner network BBC News was in the epicenter of the quake zone, where local residents told reporter Rupert Wingfield-Hayes they were worried that an aftershock could completely topple a building tilted at about a 45-degree angle by the quake.
Even as rescuers carefully searched the building for any survivors, workers were busy trying to stabilize the site.
The children, including the 8-year-old daughter of Kevin Geiger from the United States, were starting their school day when the earthquake struck.
„The teachers said, 'Get under the desk, get under the desk'!” Claire told of her dramatic morning.
„I was very happy that she was calm and not afraid,” her father said.
Taiwan was still feeling the tremors Thursday, but Claire told CBS News she wasn't afraid because her school taught her what to do.
