VFiles introduces V2 Academy, VFiles' new spin on VFiles Runway and VFiles Collection

VFiles, a community and cultural initiative, has reimagined its VFiles Runway and VFiles Collection and launched the V2 Academy.

Led by its founder Julie Ann Quay and YZY's former president Leonardo Lawson, the collaboration introduces a new model for creative expression, business and education. The venture is funded by private investors. VFiles is based in New York.

„Fashion, music and sports are three universal languages that define culture, but are rarely presented together under one umbrella. With the newly redesigned VFiles runway project, we see concept stores, e-commerce and experiences that unite and connect creative talents across all sectors,” said Quay. .

The VFiles collection will drop this summer along with a „permanent” collection, with more collaborations dropping by the end of the summer. They will be designed by their team together with famous talents (musicians, athletes and designers), forming the basis of the permanent collection.

This summer, VFiles Runway will transform its 12 Mercer Street boutique into a multibrand store. The store, which has been inactive of late, will feature new designers they discover through VFiles Curation and VFiles Collection. The VFiles Collection will launch on both the store and vfilesrunway.com. The plan is to sell the bulk stock this summer, so it will be in those stores for the holidays.

Along with this, a global e-commerce platform will be launched to support emerging designers, musicians, athletes, various global artists and the VFiles collection. Tying it together will be global experiences, both virtual and IRL. The expansion will extend to pop-up locations and experiences in key global fashion hubs including Tokyo, Seoul, London, Paris and Berlin.
