Since debuting on SmackDown, Kevin Owens hasn't looked like himself for a while. However, in recent times, the former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion has been doing well for himself. During the most recent episode of the blue brand, Owens defeated Carmelo Hayes in a singles match.
With this win, the Canadian superstar advanced to the finals of the United States Championship. He now faces Santos Escobar in the final. If Kevin Owens has what it takes to take down Escobar, the latter has help in the form of Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.
Owens should know this. So, Owens might get help from the Raw Superstar in his upcoming match on SmackDown. The superstar in question is Sammy Zayn. Having been away from WWE programming for a while, Zayn could return to SmackDown to help Owens fight the likes of Garza and Carrillo.
Before Kevin Owens came to SmackDown, he was involved in a tag team with Sami Zayn. The duo had a very successful championship reign together. So, it's no surprise to see Zayn helping out his best friend.

When Kevin Owens defeated Carmelo Hayes on the latest episode of SmackDown, it was a tough win for the Canadian. Throughout the tournament, Hayes had several notable moments and performed extremely well. Although he did not win, Hayes received praise from Owens.
During a backstage chat with WWE reporter Kyla Braxton, Kevin Owens said Carmelo Hayes is an amazing professional wrestler. Owens also claimed that the former NXT Champion gave him a run for his money.
Owens said:
„Look, Carmelo Hayes is an amazing professional wrestler. I'll tell you this. And you remember when he told me I wasn't his little brother? You were with me. I still don't know what that means. I don't know if I was his little brother in this match. Of course we were each other. See you soon again, again, again for a long time.” [0:15 – 0:47]
Carmelo Hayes' performance against Owens was nothing short of amazing. Previously, Hayes had done well against many Finns on RAW. Given his performances on the main roster, it won't be long before fans see Carmelo continue to compete on RAW or SmackDown.
