It's time to shake up the WWE roster.
The 2024 WWE Draft is about to begin as the Raw, SmackDown and NXT rosters change dramatically over the weekend. Roughly half of this year's draft picks will be made Friday night before Monday. Not every star is eligible to be selected on Friday, but some of the biggest names could still switch brands, and young rising stars could find themselves elevated to the main roster.
Here's what to know about this year's draft before it gets underway with „Friday Night SmackDown”:

- SmackDown signed Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles to their Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match at Backlash France. Afterwards, Rhodes announced his first round picks for SmackDown, leading to a confrontation from Carmelo Hayes. Hayes challenged Rhodes to a match later in the night, which Rhodes accepted.
- Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio defeated Angel and Berto, but after that, Santos Escobar revealed footage of him attacking Lee before WrestleMania. This left LWO member Carlito, Lee and Mysterio confused. Carlito then attacked both stars before leaving the arena, much to Escobar's delight.
- Brone Breaker defeated an untitled competitor in a squash mash.
- Kevin Owens tried to pay back last week for attacking Solo Chikoa and Tama Tonga. The advantage eventually favored The Bloodline, but Randy Orton came to Owens' aid to throw the others out of the ring.
- Tiffany Stratton and Naomi battled for the right to challenge Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship, but Nia Jax interrupted the match by attacking Bayley and Naomi. Stratton then got the last laugh by attacking them both, but the No. 1 contender was undecided.
When is WWE Draft 2024?
The 2024 WWE Draft will be held on Friday, April 26 and Monday, April 29.
Where will WWE Draft 2024 be held?
The two-day event will kick off on „Friday Night SmackDown” from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The draft will conclude on „Monday Night Raw” from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
How to Watch WWE Draft 2024
„Friday Night SmackDown” airs April 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
The draft consists of Raw and Smackdown, which, like professional sports leagues, will select those on their rosters. Whichever brand a star is created by, the star will appear exclusively throughout the year.
On Friday, there will be four rounds with a total of 16 tests. Smackdown will pick first. Lists will be locked on May 6 after Backlash.
All non-champion stars, including NXT personnel, are eligible to be selected in the draft. On Friday, there are 20 stars and stables in 14 selections. Stars Eligible for Friday:

The WWE Draft won't just happen on „Friday Night SmackDown.” Here's what else is happening inside the Heritage Bank Center:
- Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles signed a contract for an Undisputed WWE Title match at Baglash France.
- Solo Chikowa and Tama Tonga appear after a scathing attack on Kevin Owens last week.
- Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee vs. Angel and Berto.
