The SGS Joint Military Exercise will be held at Situbondo, Karawang, Badurajah

JAKARTA (ANTARA) – Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) Information Center Chief, Major General Nugraha Kumilar, said the 2024 Super Garuda Shield (SGS) joint exercise will be held in three locations, namely Situbondo, East Java; Baturaja, South Sumatra; and Karawang, West Java.

The SGS joint exercise is a multi-agency military exercise conducted annually by the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) in Indonesia in collaboration with the US military.

„The 2024 SGS will be held from August 26 to September 5. Troop landing will take place at Chitubondo, followed by troop disembarkation at Karawang, ramp-up at Paduraja. All these are still in the planning stage,” Kumilar revealed. On Wednesday.

In Joint Exercise 2024 SGS, soldiers of the 5th Marine Infantry Battalion are planning an amphibious landing exercise along with US soldiers of the Indo-Pacific Command (US INDOPACOM) at Chitubondo’s Panongan Beach.
