’The Masked Singer’ Recap Season 11, Episode 10: Poodle Moth Revealed

Spoiler alert: If you have not seen “The Masked Singer,” “Quarterfinals: Final Four” Season 11, Episode 10, which aired May 8 on Fox, do not read above.

„This Is Us” star Chrissy Metz knew „The Masked Singer” would be a challenge. But that’s why the Mets, the latest celebrity to emerge in Wednesday night’s quarterfinals, figured they should.

„When I watch the show, when I see my friends or colleagues on the show, how do they do that?” said Metz, who appeared as a moth to a poodle. „It was harder than I thought it would be. I know it’s going to be trying because it’s enough to stand on stage and sing. But wanting to wear a big dress, not really knowing where you’re going, and having to lead people in front of a live audience and lights, all of that is a lot of pressure. Of course, because I’m a singer, I don’t want to fall on my face. I don’t even know if I can do this. I don’t think people realize it, but you keep going , prepare as much as you can, and then try to have as much fun as you can.

The Mets sang „Price Tag” by Jessie J this week. But he said Variety Miranda Lambert’s „The House That Built Me” is her favorite performance because it’s personal. „It’s one of my favorite Miranda songs,” he said. „I really relate to that song. Especially recently, because we were my family renovating my childhood home and they were going to sell it. So it was very timely.

For Poodle Moth, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got it right with Chrissy Metz. Rita Ora guessed Faith Hill. Robin Thicke went with Shania Twain. Ken Jeong said it was Melissa McCarthy.

The two lowest voted singers were Poodle Moth and Gumball. The two later faced off on SmackDown, each performing their own version of „If I Could Turn Back Time” by Cher. Gumball won and will join Goldfish and Clockwork in next week’s semi-finals.

Returning for Season 11 is host Nick Cannon, along with cast members Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke, with Rita Ora joining the table to fill in for Nicole Scherzinger, who was in London to star in the West End’s „Sunset Boulevard.”

„The Masked Singer” Season 11 features themed episodes including „The Wizard of Oz” to celebrate the classic film’s 85th anniversary; Musical tributes including „Transformers” (marking the brand’s 40th anniversary) and „Billy Joel Night” and „Queen Night.” Additional themes include “Girl Groups,” “The Soundtrack of My Life,” “TV Theme Night” and “Shower Anthem.”

With a total of sixteen popular singers, including three „wild cards,” Season 11 features new costumes including „Gumball,” „Lizard,” „Ugly Sweater,” „Goldfish,” „Starfish,” „Book,” „Gumball,” „Miss Cleopatra.” ,” “Open Hound,” “Beats,” “Poodle Moth,” “Clock,” “Spaghetti & Meatballs,” “Lizard,” “Koala,” “Seal” and “Sir Lion.” According to the show, the Season 11 contestants boast a combined 22 Grammy nominations, 11 platinum albums, 33 Teen Choice nominations, 108 million records sold, 326 film appearances and 1.7 billion Spotify streams.

This means Group B winner Gumball, Group A winner Goldfish and Group C’s Poodle Moth and Clock will face off in the quarter-finals.

Goldfish (Group A Champion)
