The best FPL team for Gameweek 9

The visit of AFC Bournemouth may allow Pedro Neto (£5.7m) to extend his excellent form Fantasy Premier League.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers winger has provided attacking returns in each of the last six game weeks, scoring 40 points to go with one goal and six assists.

He faces a Cherries side who have struggled defensively recently, conceding at least three goals in each of their last three matches.

For the first time this season, Neto will feature in a team featuring four defenders Erling Holland (£14.0m) bracelet and Mohammed Salah (£12.6m) was appointed vice-chairman.

Matt Turner (Not’m Forest) £4.1m

Nottingham Forest host No. 1 Luton Town on the back of their second clean sheet of the season last time out. Turner faces a Hatters team that has failed to score in three of its last four road trips.

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) £6.9m

Newcastle United’s captain offers several options to return home to Crystal Palace. Trippier has accumulated 44 points in his previous four outings, combining five assists with three clean sheets and 10 bonus points.

Pedro Boro (Spurs) £5.1m

The Tottenham Hotspur right-back looks a strong prospect to return at home to Fulham at both ends of the pitch. Borrow scored just twice in seven outings, producing two assists and three clean sheets.

Diogo Dalot (Man Utd) £4.9m

The Portuguese was one of Manchester United’s best creators ahead of the visit of Sheffield United. Dalot has supplied nine key passes in the past four gameweeks.

Konstantinos Simikas (Liverpool) £4.4m

Liverpool’s Grecian is set to make his first start of 2023/24 against Everton. Andrew Robertson (£6.6m) is expected to be sidelined through injury. Tsimikas averaged 6.5 points per start at Anfield last season, combining two assists with three clean sheets in those four outings.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £12.6m

The Egyptian is joint top of the overall player rankings after three double-digit performances in the last four game weeks. Salah has a total of 35 points in his last four Merseyside derbies, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.5m

The South Korean is averaging 9.2 points per contest since moving forward to the Spurs in Gameweek 4. 20 points against Burnley and 14 against Arsenal during that period highlighted Son’s ability at home to Fulham.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) £8.4m

His 11 shots on target and 22 chances led the Red Devils. Fernandez’s dead-ball duties seem to be causing big problems for Sheff Utd, who conceded a league-high 47 shots from set-pieces.

Pedro Neto (Wolves) £5.7m

His 20 key passes and 12 shots are both leading totals for Wolves so far.

Erling Holland (Man City) £14.0m

A home encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion gives Manchester City a chance to get back to their best. Holland has 26 points in his last two at the Etihad Stadium, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.2m

Four goals and seven assists took the Aston Villa star joint top of the player standings with Salah. Watkins leads a West Ham United side that has conceded 51 shots in the box over the past four gameweeks, the second most in the league.
