Swift sings „Mary’s Song (Oh My My My),” „So High School” and „Everything’s Changed” for Kells.
Taylor Swift ended her final night in Amsterdam by performing two never-before-performed live songs on her Eras Tour.
„I can’t believe it, but I haven’t played this song on the Eras Tour yet, it’s funny,” Johan Cruyff said, holding his guitar to the crowd inside the arena.
Her pink dress took the stage and she strummed her guitar. „Hit the ground, hit the ground, oh, oh,” he sang and fans recognized the first line of „Sweeter Than Fiction” and cheered. The bonus track „1989 (Taylor’s Version)” was written for the 2013 film One Chance.
Swift performed every song from her albums „Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” „1989 (Taylor’s Version),” „Folklore” and „Midnights” during the Eras Tour.
Then he mashed into „Sacred Ground” from „Red (Taylor’s Version)”.
’I’m 87, you’re 89′
„Well, you get bonus points if you know the words to this,” Swift said, sitting down at the piano, „because it’s my first album and I’ve never performed it on the Eras Tour.”
From one set, Kells enthusiastically sang „Mary’s Song (Oh My My My),” which sings „I’m eighty-seven, you’re eighty-nine, and I’ll still see you like the stars. It’s shining in the sky, oh, my, my, my.”
This is significant because as a teenager in Nashville, Swift wrote a song with the numbers 87 and 89. Kelce’s jersey number is 87 and 1989 is one of his albums.
If that wasn’t enough of a clear love message for the Kansas City tight end, he also covered „So High School” — the song „The Tortured Poet’s Department” wrote about him — and „Everything’s Changed,” a love song from „Red (Taylor’s Version).”
Almost a year ago on July 8, Kelce attended the Eras Tour in Kansas City. He had a friendship bracelet with his number and dreamed of getting it from Swift. Since then, everything has changed.
The singer-songwriter has 22 more shows in Europe. She will take a two-month break and travel to North America in the fall.
