Summer might technically start on June 21, but Kaytranada and Amin came early to release their joint album. Kaitramin’s Friday (May 19).
The Canadian DJ/producer and Ethiopian-American rapper gave fans their first taste. Kaitramin’s Pharrell-assisted single „4EVA” last month. The 11-track project features collaborations with Freddie Gibbs („Let’s Talk About It”), Big Sean („Master B”), Amare („Soap”) and Snoop Dogg („Eye”).
The new KAYTRAMINÉ duo made its festival debut with a Coachella set at Kaytranada’s weekend in April, but the two have been collaborating on songs like this for nearly a decade. „The Dance,” „Yes,” „don’t” (Remix of Kaytranada’s „At All” from Amine’s 2015 EP At All / Hilarity Tough) and “Egyptian Lover” from Reggie Snow’s 2018 album. Dear Annie (It features Amin and Dana Williams and was produced by Kaytranada).

Tweeted Earlier this week. “Who knows where I would be now without a little push from Kay early in my career. Sometimes the love you show people can affect them in ways you can’t imagine. Gaytramine is not an industrial drama, it has been 9 years in the making.
He also shared a DM exchange between the two on July 27, 2014, showing Amine thanking Kaytranada for following him on Twitter and expressing interest in working together sometime.
