JAKARTA: Minister of Finance (MENQ) Sri Mulyani Indravati held a meeting with YouTube CEO Neel Mohan on the sidelines of the 2024 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting held on January 15-19, 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.
Sri Mulyani said on his Instagram account that YouTube is an inseparable platform from our lives.
„Who doesn't know YouTube? The video sharing service has become an integral part of our lives. It's a means of sharing information that anyone can easily access at any time,” Sri Mulyani was quoted as saying on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
On that occasion, the State Treasurer said he and Neil Mohan had a heated conversation about the Creators Economy, an economy created and driven by content creators on this platform.
Create new jobs
According to him, the popularity of YouTube has created many new jobs not only for content creators but also for the people who support them.
“YouTube is also getting ready Creator Academy. A program to better understand what new creatives should be like Content creator Good person. „I also support this seeing how YouTube has become a career and a dream for the young generation of Indonesia,” he said.
The Ministry of Finance (KMENQ), Shri Mulyani, is now using YouTube as a medium to inform the public.
„We at the Ministry of Finance are using YouTube as a way to inform the public about the current conditions of the #UangKita APBN in a transparent manner. A step in the spirit of openness, democracy, accountability and transparency…!,” he said.
