Singer Ava Max says she is recovering after a fan slapped her during a concert in Los Angeles.He was attacked on stage.
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old pop star was slapped by a concertgoer who rushed the stage during her performance, with video of the incident posted on social media platforms.
An unidentified man glared at the singer as he was forced off the stage by security and punched Max in the face. Max reacts to the hit, but continues to act, the video shows.
The singer confirmed that the attack left her with an eye injury and that Stage Rusher has been banned from future performances.
„He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye,” Max said He tweeted that After the incident. „He won’t be doing a show again, but thanks to the fans for being amazing tonight in LA!!”
Music executive Scooter Braun posted a photo of Max backstage holding a beer bottle over his injured eye on his Instagram stories.
The incident happened after an audience member attacked singer Bebe Rexha with a phone during a concert on Sunday night in New York City.
The singer was performing at Pier 17 when 27-year-old Nicholas Malvagna threw his cell phone at her, according to police. Officers arrested Malvagna at the scene. A case of assault was later registered against him.
