Superstars Tom Cruise and Pedro Pascal, recent Oscar winner Emma Stone and the legendary „Godzilla Minus One” are among the winners of the 4th annual Critics' Choice Super Awards.
The awards honor fan-favorite genres in film and television, with a wide variety of films and television shows receiving praise from international critics and journalists. „Godzilla: Minus One” (Toho), „Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” (Paramount), „Poor People” (Search Light), and „Talk To Me” (A24) each scored two hits. Most movies.
In the acting category, Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson were celebrated for their roles in „Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning.” Recent Best Actress winner Emma Stone was recognized for her performance alongside her Oscar-nominated co-star Mark Ruffalo in Yorgos Lanthimos' black sci-fi comedy “Poor Things.”
On television, HBO's „The Last of Us” dominated, winning seven trophies in its first season. The sweep includes awards in the superhero and horror film categories. Stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay won two awards each for their portrayal of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world, while co-star Melanie Lynskey was named Best Villain.
