Saudi cabinet praises regional leaders for coming together in efforts to end Gaza war

RIYADH: Manga Productions in association with Misc Foundation has organized a special event titled „XP” in Riyadh to launch new video games on various gaming platforms.
The event focused on interacting with the gaming community in the Kingdom and included gaming experiences, exclusive content and enriching sessions.
Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, told Arab News: „The market is expected to reach SR50 billion ($13.3 billion) by 2030. According to (the) Saudi government’s targets, the e-sports and video game industry represents a huge market. Saudi Arabia and Arab Countries have also long been consumers of content.
„These days, we create news content and distribute it to the local community and the world. So, I believe the future of Saudi Arabia is very bright and we have great confidence in our abilities.
He continued: “This is the first time a Saudi company has released a game with a AAA rating, so I think it’s a big milestone for the industry in the Kingdom. It is the result of our investments and our talent. Over the years we have been sending our students to internship programs in global studios in Japan, USA and UK and this is the result, so I think the future is very bright. And we are very confident that we can compete in global markets.
Games launched include „Gruntizer Space Adventures: Feast of the Wolves,” „The Smurfs 2: Prisoner of the Green Jewel” and „Flashback 2.”
The first of these takes players on an epic adventure with the giant Grendizer and Daisuke to protect Earth. Players will battle the forces of evil with the most powerful robot known to man and embark on a journey exploring the most famous landmarks and characters in the fantastical world created by the creator of the original series, Joe Nagai.
Video game enthusiasts can discover a fantasy world full of surprises in „The Smurfs 2: Prisoner of the Green Jewel” and help the famous Smurfs in their mission to rid the world of Green Jewel monsters.
Finally, players will begin a new mission with Conrad and Aisha in a cyberpunk world full of dangers, mystery and lost memories in the second part of the game „Flashback”. The first part of the game sold more than 2 million copies and was launched in 1992.
One of the guests is gamer Ahmed bin Mahfooz who runs the channel Gamedos Remake. He praised the games for their modernity: “The manga product offers what the market wants in a contemporary way that piques the interest of the audience. Take the Grunderizer game we saw today in various layouts where the main character walks, flies and uses various weapons. It also has a deep story with a ton of options, making it a great development.
Manga Productions has full publishing and distribution rights for its new games in the Middle East and North Africa region and prides itself on Saudi talent and skills in Arabizing, distributing and marketing its new games.
It aims to provide unique gaming experiences and make a strong impact on the game development industry in the region.
The company produced games like „Dhafer the Hero,” „Ghoul Cave,” the virtual reality experience „AlUla Adventures,” and other works that contributed to changing the Arab entertainment scene globally.
Square Enix nurtures talent in the gamer community through its partnerships with the biggest international studios and companies such as Square Enix, Telltale Games and SNK, along with training and development programs.
