Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global Olympic and Paralympic partner, today unveiled the Olympic Edition of its newly announced Galaxy Z Flip6, specially designed and customized for all athletes competing in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition continues Samsung’s three-decade tradition of delivering its cutting-edge technology and mobile innovation in support of the Games and represents a series of consecutive firsts.
The new Olympic version for Paris 2024 is the first Olympic version to feature Galaxy AI. Designed to enhance athletes’ game-time experience from the moment they arrive in Paris, it is the first to come pre-loaded with a full suite of exclusive services and useful applications. Additionally, this marks the first time that Samsung’s new product will be available to gamers before its official market launch. The Galaxy Z Flip6 will take center stage at the Olympic Games as the first Olympic version to play an integral role on stage.
It features the compact and versatile design of the new Galaxy Z Flip6, in yellow adorned with the Olympic rings and Paralympic agitators in gold. To dress up the phone, Samsung partnered with Parisian men’s luxury maison Berluti, who designed the France team’s official outfits for the Paris 2024 opening ceremony, to create an exclusive flipsuit case with each device. Crafted from Venezia leather, each flipsuit case has a unique patina with a vibrant color combination inspired by the Olympic rings. Olympic spirit and values of excellence and unity.

Samsung’s decision to present its latest addition to the Galaxy portfolio to Paris 2024 athletes ahead of its official market launch stems from the key role Galaxy AI technology will play in accelerating a new era of communication, productivity and creativity on the smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition features a number of useful innovations to help athletes unlock new experiences, including the following Galaxy AI communication features that will help athletes from around the world easily connect while in Paris:

- translator2 – Instantly translate live conversations, allowing athletes to chat with other athletes and volunteers and get a direct translation of what they’re saying on screen – when talking face-to-face, thanks to the phone’s unique dual screen.
- Music composer3 – Helps create emails and social media posts in apps using simple keywords. Specifically for social media use, it analyzes the tone of past content and makes it easy for athletes to express their excitement during the most thrilling or poignant moments of competition.
Athletes can use Galaxy AI on the Olympic Edition phone to prepare for competition, enhance their creativity and capture lifelong memories at Paris 2024, with features including:
- Instant slo-mo4 – Allows athletes to record, share and analyze their performance in slow motion, thus simplifying their technique.
- Photo Assist5 – Help athletes get the perfect shot every time by resizing, repositioning or removing unwanted objects in photos.
Built-in services and apps make the Olympic and Paralympic experience fun and easy
To make it easier for athletes in Paris and beyond to use the phone, every Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will come with a 100GB 5G data eSIM in partnership with Orange and Samsung’s two-year international warranty. In addition, keep track of the latest game schedules and navigate around the Olympic venues with ease, with many official International Olympic Committee (IOC) Apps like Athlete 365,6 The Olympic Shop, Paris 2024, the Transport Agree app and the IOC Hotline will be pre-loaded.
Via Samsung Wallet,7 It will come bundled with an app-in-app pass for free drinks at vending machines throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Village, in partnership with fellow global partner, The Coca-Cola Company, and an unlimited complimentary public transport access card. With Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), they can enjoy touring the city of Paris and its region.
To bring some fun and personalization to the athlete experience, each Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will also feature a suite of interactive, Paris 2024-themed apps. Includes PinQuest and Galaxy Experience to collect and exchange real and digital pins during Games time, Olympic Go!, the official Olympic game and a new game featuring Galaxy Skateboard, Phryges, Paris 2024 logos.

Standing on the Olympic and Paralympic podium during the medal ceremony to realize a lifelong dream is one of the most emotional and memorable moments an athlete can experience. Traditionally photographed by accredited media, as athletes are prohibited from bringing their own belongings – including their mobile phones – to the ceremony, the scene is always captured from a distance, not through the athlete’s own lens.
For the first time in Olympic and Paralympic sports history, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will offer the Olympic Edition for use on stage at Paris 2024, so athletes can create their own memories and emotions with a new, victory selfie. Samsung’s customized technology maps, sorts and uploads athletes’ selfies to Athlete365 in real-time, allowing athletes to save and share their iconic moments with family and fans.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition will be on display at Olympic™ rendezvous @ Samsung showcases, including one at Champs-Elysees 125, starting July 12. In partnership with the IOC and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), athletes will receive their Galaxy Z Flip6. Samsung’s Olympic version starts from July 18.
