Pink Tribute to Late Dad on 2nd Anniversary – Billboard

The 43-year-old pop star took to social media on Saturday (Aug. 26) to share some heartfelt words about her late dad Jim Moore, who he lost to cancer in August 2021. He is 75 years old.

“I miss you dad. Kids do too. I hate how time flies sometimes,” P!nk, whose real name is Alessia Moore, captioned a video. Instagram. „I hate how sometimes we have to have fun to avoid the hurt. Today it’s not fun. Today just hurts. I’m glad you don’t anymore though. You don’t hurt.

The brief clip shows P!nk’s happy father playing at the restaurant with the singer’s 6-year-old son Jameson Moonheart as a toddler.

He continued in his post, “They still call you twinkle toes and I hope you’re still getting out of line. I hope you will sing along. I hope you make everyone smile. I hope you feel this love… Gone but not forgotten Dad.

P!nk – who shares 12-year-old daughter Willow with husband former motorcross star Gary Hart – revealed her dad died two years ago after a battle with prostate cancer.

Earlier this year, P!nk paid tribute to her father in an emotional post on Valentine’s Day that included a snippet from her latest album. Credibility.

“Sometimes love leaves us too soon. On Valentine’s Day – I cherish the love I can touch – and the love I hold in my heart for those who have gone on the next adventure,” she wrote alongside a 30-second video preview of the song. Go there.

„This one’s for you, Dad,” he added, using his affectionate nickname for the Vietnam veteran, as he voiced the clip. „I thought it would be nice if you had some memories of how it all started and where you all came from,” Moore said of her dad with a picture of her teenage years and her parents’ wedding.

„It’s always going to be very important to all of us,” Moore said as the song’s majestic piano bed swelled, before revealing shots of the singer on her first birthday. „When I think about forever I think about you,” P!nk sings amid a video set of her and her dad together. „I hear a joke and I know you’ll tell it well/ I’m thinking of you.”
