JAKARTA (Antara) – Human Resources Minister Aida Faucia has revealed that up to 56,566 jobs are vacant at the 2023 National Employment Fair organized by her ministry.
„For the 2023 National Employment Fair, we will offer 56,566 job vacancies from 135 companies, 10 of which are opening job vacancies for people with disabilities,” he said in Jakarta on Friday.
Fauziyah said she hoped this year’s job fair would be as effective as last year’s in bringing job seekers and companies together.
„About 15 thousand employees thronged last year’s job fair. This year, I hope this event will be effective in connecting employers and job seekers. There will be about 56 thousand job vacancies for job seekers,” he added.
According to the minister, the job fair is one of the activities organized by his ministry during the 2023 National Apprenticeship and Job Fair.
Apart from employment fairs, the Ministry conducts many activities such as vocational training and product fairs, seminars, certifications, employment services, skill competitions, vocational training ecosystem „meetups” and entertainment.
The National Apprenticeship Festival and Employment Fair will be held from 27-29 October 2023 at the Jakarta International Expo in Central Jakarta.
Vice President Maroob Amin inaugurated the event on Friday. Amin, accompanied by Minister Bouzia, inaugurated the exhibition by pressing the curtain.
Speaking at the opening, he appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Manpower for organizing the event.
He expressed hope that the move would become a useful step to spread information about the implementation of vocational training and to enable stakeholders including job seekers, employers and other employment stakeholders to benefit from the vocational training process.
„I believe that all efforts to revitalize vocational training will have a wider impact, with benefits felt by all Indonesian people and relevant stakeholders,” he revealed.
