NNCA signed a knowledge-sharing agreement with ADB

JAKARTA (ANTARA) – The Nusantara National Capital Authority (NNCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Development Bank Corporation (ADB Corporation) on Wednesday (May 3, 2023) to promote knowledge sharing and cooperation in research and development.

„Collaboration with the ADB Institute will help expand our collaboration network and increase (our) capacity to build a smart and sustainable capital city in Nusantara,” NNCA President Bambang Susantono said in his speech at the signing ceremony in Incheon. South Korea.

He signed an MoU with Tetsushi Sonobe, Dean and CEO of ADB Institute.

Sonobe welcomes cooperation. “ADB is ready to provide support and share experiences. We believe this collaboration will spur sustainable, inclusive and resilient growth,” he said.

The signing of the MoU marks the beginning of cooperation for both parties in strengthening strategic cooperative relations in the field of knowledge.

The scope of joint action shall include, first, the organization and co-sponsorship of joint events, workshops and/or activities such as capacity building and training to address development issues.

Next, it will involve promoting research on strategic issues such as creating liveable cities; Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, Gender Equality, Rural Development and Food Security; Building administrative and institutional capacity at the sub-national level, disaster resilience; and addressing climate change among others.

Finally, it includes joint publications of academic journals, books, reports, and blogs, as well as potential e-learning publications, podcast episodes, reports, and other knowledge products.

Under the agreement, NNCA and the ADB Institute will collaborate in arranging financing related to these activities.
