Marvel Studios art director and production designer Ray Chan contributed Guardians of the GalaxyThree The Avengers Movies, upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine Also, dead. He is 56 years old.

Chan died on Tuesday near his home in Wales, his family announced. No cause of death was reported.

The eldest of three children of Hong Kong immigrants, Raymond Chan was born on 1 December 1967 in Oldham, Greater Manchester. His mother is a mechanical worker and his father is a bus driver. He graduated from Liverpool School of Art with a graphic design degree and then moved to London to join the new Film and Television MA postgraduate program at Kingston College of Art.
