JAKARTA (ANTARA) – Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that the process of land acquisition in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan is underway with cross-ministerial support.
„The process of land acquisition in IKN is continuing. Currently, the government is preparing the land through the forest clearance mechanism in IKN,” Mia Amalia, OIKN’s deputy for planning and land affairs, noted in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
Amalia noted that in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 65 of 2022 on Land Acquisition and Land Management in IKN, land acquisition in IKN is conducted through two mechanisms, namely forest area and land acquisition.
Also, land in IKN derived from forest area and/or land acquisition will be determined as Government Property (BMN) and/or Assets Under Control (ADP).
Amalia said that for the acquisition of land in IKN, Administrative Rights (HPL) will be given to IKN Authority and especially for the land that will become ADP, it can cooperate with the parties developing the area according to the comprehensive spatial plan.
Meanwhile, land with PMN status is land used for government administration.
OIKN reaffirmed its commitment to guarantee legal certainty and facilitation of investment in IKN.
The land preparation process was conducted in collaboration with various ministries, starting with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Agricultural Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR BPN).
OIKN understands that land used for collaboration must be carefully prepared to guarantee legal certainty.
Thus, the preparation process engages various agencies in accordance with their duties and functions as well as in alignment with good governance.
„Coordination with various agencies is ongoing so that the land allotment process can be completed immediately,” Amalia said.
