IECM highlights the use of technology in El Capitolino’s electoral process

The Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) effectively exploits technology to address specific issues and exercise citizens’ political-electoral rights. One of the most recent examples of this strategy is the implementation of an online system for the registration of political party candidates within the framework of the normal local election process of 2023-2024.

As Councilor Ernesto Ramos Mega highlighted in his participation in the Technological Innovation Forum organized by the Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute of Chiapas, this approach guarantees the organization, verification and transparency of information related to candidates.

Councilor Ramos Mega emphasized IECM’s commitment to using technology to improve citizen participation and transparency in electoral and participatory processes. Among the examples of technological tools used in Mexico City, the Citizen Participation Platform stands out, where citizens can access information on citizen participation mechanisms.
