In an exciting 2023-24 campaign, the Purple Aces achieved several milestones en route to the postseason. Currently standing with 16 wins, UE's highest since 2017-18. On March 7, Evansville opened the Arch Madness with a 59–53 loss against Illinois State. It was the first win for the program in St. Louis since 2017.
Six straight wins opened the season for UE after the 1964-65 National Championship team went undefeated. The 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and All-Freshman team member Ben Hamrichus was highlighted by All-Freshman and All-Bench honorees Chuck Bailey III and Tanner Cuff. Bailey in the all-bench team.
Quinnipiac finished its season with an overall record of 24-9 while finishing 15-5 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The Bobcats were the top seed entering the MAAC Tournament before falling to St. Peter's in the second round.
