Deontay Wilder's shocking loss to Joseph Parker on 'Day of Reckoning' This weekend's event may have put his potential clash with Anthony Joshua on hold.
Reports surfaced earlier this week that 'The Bronze Bomber' and 'AJ' had signed a two-fight deal. However, following Wilder's unanimous decision loss to Parker, any promotion for the fight has been shut down for now.
Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, gave an interview to iFL TV following the event, where he responded to Wilder's defeat. Hearn said:
„It's a gig. We signed a contract to fight Deontay Wilder. It's irrelevant now, but we signed it. That fight will happen. But boxing is boxing. And we have to find. Another opponent next. [Joshua] vs. is in a position to fight for the world title [Filip] Harkovic. It is an option. There are many other options.”

Following Parker's stunning performance against 'The France Bomber', boxing fans have yet again been treated to another mega-fight.

Conor McGregor, who attended the event, shared his thoughts on Wilder's defeat during an interview with talkSPORT. he said:
„I came out to see Wilder's whistle and I wanted to see it. He's got to change the trajectory of his punches. If you're coming in over the head, you've got to come up. Down with the uppercut.”
