atmos BLUE Omotesando Store / SAKUMAESHIMA
Manufacturers: TinaOne, Square, Lixil, LLINE
Text description provided by architects. This interior project for Atmos Blue Omotesando is located in a busy area just off the intersection of Meiji-dori and Omotesando. For an atmosphere that continues to transmit high-street culture, it is necessary to create a space that is slightly out of the ordinary, separated from the environment of the area, despite its location in Harajuku.
As one moves towards the back, the platform becomes slightly irregular in shape, with the back extending diagonally from the center of the shop to the right. Therefore, we decided to roughly divide the look of the store into two parts beyond the facade, which plays an important role in communication and media.
Naturally, the sneakers are placed in the front area near the main street. The store design focuses on sneakers, attracting customers to a space with temporary monotube scaffolding, while light steel fixtures as the basic material of the interior create a rough and abandoned look. Additionally, the interior is designed to evoke a typical street-like atmosphere by installing line lighting with grid line material in the atrium.
Moving towards the back of the store, simple clothing fixtures with thin lines combine with ceiling lights, glass tile flooring and a grid-raised area to create a futuristic white space that contrasts with the deconstructed atmosphere of the sneaker zone. anteriorly. The clothing and cash register areas are functionally complemented by lighting and glass walls. By drawing the flow of people to the back of the building, we believe we were able to create a mechanism to separate the store from the hustle and bustle of the street.
