A theme song for Pope Francis’ visit to Singapore has been released

The Catholic community in Singapore has released the theme song for Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to the country.

Titled 'One Church, One People’, it was composed by Ethan Hsu, a founding member of the Singapore band Mystic Fund and a parishioner of the church, St Mary of the Angels.

Hsu told LiCAS News, „It reminds us that we are one church, sanctified in the Lord, led by the Holy Spirit, and become one people of God to become a light to the world.”

The songwriter turned to prayer to ensure that the song’s structure aligned with the values ​​of the Catholic faith.

Hsu called the song-making process unity and trust.

„It’s a testament to the fact that we found unity and trust in this project, even within our own small task force,” he said.
