A reading of the President’s meeting with economists from an economic perspective

The President and members of his economic team today met leading economists and sought their views on the economic outlook. Economists briefed the president and underscored the strength of the job market and how a strong labor market recovery has helped American workers and families. They discussed significant progress in reducing inflation while maintaining a strong and resilient economy. Additionally, they discussed the importance of public and private investment—including the president’s investment in the US agenda—in boosting the economy’s potential over the long term. The President explained how Bidenomics is developing the economy from the middle and lower levels.
