JAKARTA (ANTARA) – No traces of data leakage have been found from the online Central Population Administration Information System (SIAK) managed by the General Directorate of Population and Civil Registration (Dukabil) of the Ministry of Interior, the ministry said.
„Dukcapil, together with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and other stakeholders, conducted a quick audit and found no traces of data leakage at SIAK,” Director General of Population and Civil Registry, Dekuh Setyabudi, said here. Monday.
Even so, the investigation will continue to find out more about the population data leak, he said.
According to him, the audit is currently being run on the population database managed by the district/city governments.
„The investigative audit process is still going on to deepen the allegations of leakage, including databases in districts/cities,” he said.
He also said that his side is continuing to take preventive and mitigation measures against data leaks.

On July 15, 2023, a Twitter user @DailyDarkWeb announced that 337,225,465 rows of population data managed by Dukcapil had been sold on a hacker forum.
In a screenshot of a hacker forum page shared by @DailyDarkWeb, a hacker with the account name RRR claimed to have obtained 337 million rows of data from the dukcapil.kemendagri.go.id website.
The data includes vital information such as Population Identification Numbers (NIK), place of birth, religion, marital status, divorce certificate, mother’s name, occupation and passport numbers.
Chetyapudi said the format of the allegedly leaked demographic data was different from that followed in Dukapil’s database.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Bambang Susatyo on Monday asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to conduct a thorough investigation into the data leak.
He asked the ministry to coordinate with the BSSN, the Cyber Team of the National Police and the Ministry of Communications and Information (Kominfo).
