Former Zimbabwe all-rounder Heath Streak has been diagnosed with cancer. The Zimbabwean legend’s family flew from England to South Africa after the news was made public. Streak had a long international career for Zimbabwe. He took up training after retirement.

speaks Cricbuzz, Zimbabwean all-rounder Sean Williams confirmed the news and revealed his return from the streak. According to Williams, the former all-rounder was fishing last week.
„Heath has colon and liver cancer (stage 4). I know at this stage Heath’s immediate family has been invited to visit him in South Africa, I don’t know any of the details. I messaged Heath and he replied. I’m sure the family would like privacy at this stage. Last week he „It looks like the cancer spread faster because of the fishing. Heath was my mentor, he did a lot of good things for a lot of people and basically saved my life. We’re praying that he’s OK,” he told Cricbuzz.
Streak is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers to have played for Zimbabwe. He played a total of 65 Tests and 189 ODIs from 1993 to 2005. The right-handed batsman scored 1990 runs and took 216 wickets in red ball cricket.
In ODIs, the streak saw him score 2943 runs and dismiss 239 batsmen. The 49-year-old took up coaching after retirement and also had stints with Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders. Streak coached Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at international level.
