Joined by conductor Simon Hale and a 16-piece choir from the LJ Singers, Smith will perform hits including I’m Not Alone and Stay With Me. After five weeks of runway glam, lessons in the shadows and all-round fabulousness, the world’s latest drag superstar is about to be crowned. It’s the drama’s final double bill, starring Elizabeth Olsen as Candy Montgomery, a suburban Texas woman accused of murder. Finally, the trial is underway and Candy receives a visit from a very angry pastor. As the verdict approaches, Pat and Candy realize that regardless of the outcome, their lives have changed forever. The Promised Land, 9pm, BBC Four

The Danish title, Basterton (The Bastard), gives a flavor of the class conflict embedded in this gritty, fact-inspired period drama. Mads Mikkelsen plays Ludwig Kahlen, a self-made army captain with a plan to turn the wild heath of 18th-century Jutland into viable farmland. Despite the king’s blessing, he faces violent opposition from the vain, cruel local lord Schinkel (Simon Bennebjerg), who uses his power and wealth to destroy the upper class. It’s essentially a Western, with Kahlen an archetype in the vein of Gary Cooper and Clint Eastwood: principled and stubborn but softened by Romany orphan Anmai Mus (Melina Hagberg) and Amanda Collin’s runaway maid Ann Barbara. Bob Marley: A Love, Now, Paramount+
Your love of Reynaldo Marcus Greene’s biography depends on your interest in the reggae star’s Rastafarian beliefs. However, his faith informed his politics and his brilliant music (of which there are numerous performances). During a two-year period from 1976 to 78, Marley played two peace concerts, recorded his most popular album, Exodus, and was diagnosed with cancer. Kingsley Ben-Adir gives a respectable performance as Bob, with Lashana Lynch as a stoic Rita. SW

Herbert Wilcox’s 1950 wartime thriller was filmed just five years after the events it depicts. British acting royalty Anna Neagle adopts her perfect French accent as SOE agent and mother of three Odette Sansom, who goes undercover in the south of France under the command of Trevor Howard’s Peter Churchill. Between airdrops, late-night escapes, arrests, and interrogations, she maintains her song — even after the slick, brilliant German intelligence director, Colonel Henry (Marius Göring), yells at her. Spellbound, 1pm, BBC Two
Alfred Hitchcock meets Salvador Dali in this 1945 thriller about psychoanalyst Constance (Ingrid Bergman) and her amnesiac John (Gregory Beck). Daly’s involvement as designer – in John’s memory loss and remembered dream that holds the clue to the murder – is cut by about two minutes, but still creates a surreal, unsettling atmosphere unlike any other Hitchcock film. Bergman, in his first three films with the director, is typically intelligent and sympathetic as the mystery of the man Constance deepens. SW
