Sha’Carri Richardson will grace the cover of Vogue

Life is good for Shaqari Richardson.

Richardson finished 100th at the U.S. Olympic Trials last month. Olympic GamesShe’ll be on the cover of Vogue.

Richardson is set to grace the cover of Vogue in August. The 24-year-old sprinter posted Vogue’s digital cover on her Instagram page.

In the Vogue feature story, Richardson talked about her close relationship with her family and preparing for her first Olympics following a highly publicized suspension during the Tokyo Games.

„I’m not back, I’m fine,” Richardson told Vogue. „I don’t mean I’m a great runner, it’s beyond that. I’m great at being shaggy. I’m great at being me.”

Richardson qualified for the Paris Olympics after winning the gold medal in the trials with a time of 10.71. His time is the No. 1 mark in the world this year.

She is trying to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the 100 since Gayle Devers at the 1996 Atlanta Games. He will be part of the 4×100-really Team USA in Paris.

„Every time you step on the track, it’s a validation of the time you’ve put in, the sacrifices you make daily,” Richardson said. Vogue. „When I get to the blocks, it’s about getting the job done. On the other end, I know there’s joy at the finish line. But I also know I have to earn that joy.
