President William Ruto has assured Kenyans that the economy is on the mend and the country is set for good times ahead.
The president cited the Kenyan shilling's recent strengthening against the dollar and the $2 billion Eurobond resolution.
As a result, prices of consumer goods such as maize flour and fuel have fallen significantly, clear signs of stabilizing the economy.

President Ruto made the comments when he launched the construction of the Longisa-Sikor-Sebunyo and Kyogong-Sikor roads in Sepalungu constituency, Bomet County.
Later, he directed the Kemomul Rural Electrification Project in Bomet East and connected Joseph Konz's family home with electricity.
He also reviewed the progress of the Bomet Affordable Housing Project, which expands economic opportunities for residents.

„Bomet town will be expanded, its infrastructure will be modernized and sewerage lines will be fixed to cater for the growing population in the South Rift region,” he said.
Deputy President Rigathy Kachagwa, Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Kipshumba Murgomen, Bomet Governor Hilary Barzok, Majority Leaders Kimani Isungwa (National Assembly) and Aaron Seruiyot (Senate), MPs and MCAs were in attendance.
