The Premier League ranks Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in what remains the closest title race in years due to the difficulty of the remaining fixtures.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds top the tree after 27 games played, a point clear of Pep Guardiola's City, who are a point clear of Mikel Arteta's Gunners after weekend wins for all three title chasers.

However, one of them has an easier route to glory in May as they sit in the bottom six and play more sides before the end of the campaign, and one has a more difficult route.

The Data released by the Premier League Arsenal have far easier fixtures remaining, four of their 11 games against the bottom six in the table – and that's after they scored six past Sheffield United on Monday night.

They also have the best goal difference this term, with their +45 six goals clear of Liverpool and ten goals clear of Guardiola's Man City at +35.

After their six-goal haul at Sheffield United, Arsenal have four more games against bottom sides.
Liverpool are currently top of the tree, but two points separate the league's top three sides

Arsenal will go top if they beat Brentford at home on Saturday evening and will drop points on at least one of their title rivals when Liverpool welcome Man City to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal's remaining opponents have averaged 38.72 points won this season, tied for 10th.

As for Manchester City and Guardiola, their path is more difficult, with their opponents averaging 41.36 points, which would be good enough for 8th place in the league.

Liverpool's fixtures are matched between rivals, with their opponents winning by an average of 39.18 points this season, which would rank 9th.

Arsenal's remaining five games are against teams in the bottom half, while both Man City and Liverpool have just four fixtures against similar opponents.

This weekend's trip to Merseyside sees Manchester City embark on a run of three-to-six sides, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa all on the horizon over the next month.

Fourth-placed Aston Villa and fifth-placed Tottenham will both be important factors in the title race as they face all three sides before the end of the season.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have six more away games in the league than their rivals.
Mikel Arteta's Gunners can move up the table before their rivals face each other on Sunday

Arsenal have already been knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool, so they will have fewer matches to compete with, while all three sides are in contention for European silverware.

Manchester City have six away games in the Premier League season, so their form away from the Etihad will be crucial to retaining the title, while Liverpool and Arsenal have five games at Anfield and the Emirates respectively.

The final day sees all three sides at home on May 19, with Liverpool Wolves, Man City welcoming West Ham, and Everton traveling to Arsenal.

But we still have two and a half months to decide whether Guardiola will return to success, Klopp will say a golden farewell or Arteta will lead the Gunners to glory.
