Bradford City AFC are working with West Yorkshire Police and appealing for witnesses following reports of racist abuse during yesterday's match against AFC Wimbledon.
In second-half stoppage time at Bradford Stadium, the game was temporarily halted after a comment was directed at visiting player Omar Buzial from the front end of The Bradford Lifts Stand, which was reported to match officials.
The City is now assisting police investigations and reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify the person involved and ensure the strongest-possible action is taken against them.
The 2023/24 season continues to see a rise in the number of racist offenses reported at Valley Parade, with the club issuing a similar statement following an incident involving an under-21 against Manchester City in our Bristol Street Motors Trophy game against Manchester City in November.
