Skaters, ninjas and even farm animals are among the weird and wonderful feats transformed into the latest edition of the famous book.
Many people have at some point thought about how they would like to make history.
They may want to enter politics to change the world, set up a charity to help others, or reach the top of their chosen sport.
Or they may decide to grow the world’s largest afro or do massive standing jumps on horseback.
Either way, there’s a place for everyone in this world, and nothing proves it like the Guinness Book of World Records.
Here’s a look at some of the more impressive feats that will appear in the 2024 edition.
Flipping is incredible
Mia Peterson, 16, of California, has broken the record for the most people to „flip-flop” from a quarter pipe on roller skates.
He managed to make it to more than 12 before landing in the record books.
For those of you who aren’t clued up on stunt-skating, a barani flip is an aerial maneuver that consists of a front flip and a 180-degree turn.
Trick your way to the top
Another youngster who keeps himself out of trouble by chasing world records is 15-year-old Simeon Graham.
The teenager from Birmingham has actually broken three records – for the most gimmick catches in one minute with five, six and seven objects.
Unbearable!
When is the right age to stop collecting teddy bears? Some might say your early teens or your mid-teens.
Try telling that to Nicholas Cherrywood from America – he has the world’s largest collection of care bears in his late 20s.
His 1,234 cuddly companions are reported to be worth more than £100,000.
Anyone need an Afro-Tsiac?
Amir Menendez is only 14 years old, but Guinness World Records claims he has the world’s largest male afro.
His impressive hair measures 19.67cm tall (7.74ins), 24.83cm wide (9.77ins) and 226cm (88ins) in girth.
Joker in the package
Not content with playing poker, bridge or solitaire – Chinese record holder Tian Rui used the hand that built the world’s tallest house of cards in one hour.
His 27-story deck was 7 feet 4 inches (2.17 m) tall.
Mr Rui also broke the record for the tallest cardboard house built in 12 hours (pictured below) with a total of 50 floors and a height of 11 feet (3.37 m).
Got the lamp?
American Grace Good holds the record for spinning the most hoops of fire simultaneously – no fewer than eight.
Needs some space
The United Arab Emirates hosted the largest gathering of people dressed as astronauts – 940 people took a giant leap into the record books.
Doing it for kicks
Not to be confused with American Ginny McCall, the world’s oldest female „ninja athlete” at 73.
Ms MacCol appeared in the 2023 American Ninja Warrior series – where contestants tackle obstacles in various US cities.
Give us a guide
Tommy, a 13-year-old Brown Swiss, is the world’s tallest steer at 6 feet 1 inch (1.87 m).
A steer is an animal born as a bull calf that will turn into a bull if left alone. However, if it is castrated, it will become a steer before growing into an ox.

Pushing the boundaries
Tom Enoch, who has Down’s syndrome, holds 24 Guinness World Records for exercise under the publication’s disability classification.
The record for most push-up burpees in one minute is his most recent – completing 16.
The exercise is a push-up followed by a lunge.
ride high
Denmark’s Amanda Stalso finished 13th with the highest jump on horseback under 30 seconds.

Impressive hair
15-year-old Sidakdeep Salah holds the Guinness Book of World Records for longest hair of a teenager.
His hair is 4 feet 3 inches long (130 cm).
Football is crazy
Anyone who watches the Premier League will tell you that Manchester City striker Erling Holland has been breaking records left, right and centre.
But the Norwegian goal machine will need to put in a few more hours of training if she is to break Melody Tonset’s record.
With 227 touches – the French maestro holds the female record for most touches of football with her feet.
Breaking records with records
Dave Watson from Dunstable, England has the largest collection of number one singles with 1,258 chart toppers.
Goes in blind
Ryusei Ouchi from Japan has achieved blinding skateboard flips in one minute.
He managed to complete 33 jumps to land in the record books.
