Love Island’s Millie Court shared a makeup-free throwback photo of her severe acne to her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
The influencer, 26, told how she restarted her microneedling journey at a clinic to reduce her deep scars – a treatment she says has helped her immensely.
One photo, shown to her before any meeting, was taken six months before she moved into the villa in February 2021, as her purple scars were visible.
She shared pictures after her recent microneedling and further discussed her complicated journey with her skin.
The blonde beauty wrote: 'Skin refresh! For those who don’t know, a few years ago I suffered from severe acne that left me with deep scars, rough skin and an uneven surface.
’I’m still constantly struggling with breakouts creating new scars, so I’m on a journey with microneedling! I haven’t done it in two months because life got in the way and I was out of the country, but today is my first session and I plan to continue.
’This is my skin right after microneedling. This is completely normal and the redness will subside significantly by morning.
’Delighted to be back at my favorite clinic @skin_revolution uk, it’s been a hard long old road for my skin but persistence is key!’
He added: „Depending on how severe your scars are, it could take months before you see a noticeable difference. However my scars have improved a lot over the years so I now notice a difference quickly. But let me remind you how bad they really were…’
Sharing her scars from 2021 before treatment, Millie showed just how far she’s come.
She wrote: 'Although it looks like spots, I only have one or two, but the rest are deep purple scars from acne.
’This was taken on 14 February 2021… 5 months before LI entered the villa.’
Millie sweetly responded to a fan who said she felt insecure about her skin without makeup.
The reality star said: 'Please I promise you, don’t ever be shy/embarrassed/insecure about it, you’re the only one who cares about it!!
’Millions of people on this earth suffer from this and I can’t tell you how many of you send me TMS and I wish I knew how normal it is. Please don’t let it affect your life!!
’Don’t let a few spots or scars stop you from going out, living life to the fullest and making memories that will last a lifetime.
’It’s not worth it, you’re better than that, you’re better than a bad skin day/week/month/year.’
