The Yemen National Coffee Auction organized a table tasting event for Yemeni coffee to celebrate World Coffee Day.
The event was part of Yemen Coffee Week, which aims to promote the local coffee sector, raise awareness of the quality and diversity of local coffee crops and open new markets for coffee.
Coffee lovers from Yemen and abroad enjoyed tasting more than 100 varieties of Yemeni coffee, which vary according to growing regions and processing and roasting methods. According to the Yemen National Coffee Auction, Yemen coffee is characterized by its rich and complex taste, aroma and refreshing aroma, bright color and thick and firm foam.
Visitors were able to learn about the history and culture of Yemeni coffee, see live demonstrations of the methods of growing, processing, roasting and preparing Yemeni coffee, as well as hear testimonials and success stories from people in the Yemeni coffee industry.
Yemen Coffee Week is organized annually by the Coffee Unit, Farmers Association, Coffee Traders Association and Yemen National Coffee Auction, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and local and international organizations related to the coffee sector.
The event includes various activities and events such as workshops, exhibitions, bazaar, performances, competitions and awards for Yemeni coffee, which will continue until October 7.
