On Saturday, October 14, Pakistan lost to India by seven wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Wahab, who has represented the national team in three 50-over World Cups, said Pakistan must find wicket-takers in the middle overs if the fast bowlers fail to react to the opposition’s bowling early.
Shatab and Nawaz should not play together for Pakistan. I want Usama Mir to be in one of those two places. Pakistan is obsessed with all-rounders, but if the pacers don’t deliver, we can’t figure out who our strike bowler is. You have to have bowlers who give you wickets,” Wahab was quoted as saying on PAK’s abilities.
Wahab opined that Pakistan should find ways to bowl the opposition on Indian soil’s best batting pitches.
“If we want to win the World Cup in India, we have to bowl out the opposition. We didn’t do that except in the Netherlands. This is where we need to understand that other teams will take us for granted. „Scores are around 300 to 350, but if you take wickets you can think about controlling the opposition,” he added.
After losing to India, Pakistan are fourth in the table with four points and a net run rate of -0.137. Babar AssamThey will look to get back to winning ways when they face Australia on October 20 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
