From October 27 to 28, the II International Congress of Meat Genetics and TechnologyIn order to strengthen the livestock sector, officials Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA).
The first day of the event will be held at the Conference Center of the Association of Guatemalan Exporters (Agexport). The second is 27 kilometers of the highway to Santa Elena Barillas, in the Yeguada Tes facilities.
The activity to promote the livestock sector will last for 2 days.
„This is a technical and scientific exchange conference that will allow manufacturers to learn the latest information and trends,” said Edgar de Leon, president of MAGA.
In this meeting, „various approaches to technicalize our producers will be shared. „We talk about genetic improvement, technology and farm management focusing on beef cattle.”

Consumption of the aforementioned product in Central America increased by 4 percent between 2014 and 2019, rising from 335 thousand to about 347 thousand tons, according to the Agriculture Bureau.
