San Jose, May 6 (elmundo.cr) – The VI International Conference on the Use of Space Technology for Water Management will be held in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religion (MREC). (UNOOSA) and the Inter-American Institute for Agriculture (IICA).
The conference will be attended by around 100 people, including officials and experts from various countries, and will be held from May 7 to 10 at the IICA headquarters in Coronado.
Its objective is to improve water resources management in line with Sustainable Development Goal 6, „Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”.
It begins at the local level and spreads globally, demanding attention and political commitment at all levels.
It is carried out with the support and auspices of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW).
UNOOSA works to promote international cooperation in the peaceful use and exploration of outer space and the application of space science and technology for sustainable economic and social development.
