Sri Lanka won the toss and batted in the second Test match against Bangladesh

In the second and final Test against Bangladesh on 30 March, Sri Lankan captain Dhananjaya de Silva won the toss and elected to bat first to clinch the series.

Asitha Fernando replaced the injured Kasun Rajitha in one change from the Sri Lanka side that won the first Test by 328 runs.

Rajitha was instrumental in Sri Lanka's big win with 8 wickets in the first match.

Bangladesh are bolstered by the return of star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, whose last international appearance will be at the 2023 World Cup in India. The hosts also gave Test debut to fast bowler Hasan Mahmood, who played 39 white-ball matches for Bangladesh.

They were replaced by fast bowlers Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam.
