Sofia Carson attended the fourth day of Ischia Global Fest 2023 in Ischia, Italy in a dramatic red Giambattista Valli gown with a sweeping cape paired with a long train with crystal floral accents on the shoulders. Carson teamed the look with ruby-red pointy-toe shoes.

Ischia Global Fest is an annual film festival held on the island of Ischia, a few miles from Naples and Capri. The event began in 2003 and attracts filmmakers and musicians from around the world. At this year’s ceremony, Carson received the Global Music Award.

Carson began her acting career with a guest role on Disney Channel’s „Austin & Ally.” Her role on the show eventually led to her starring in another Disney project, „Descendants,” where she gained recognition for playing the Evil Queen’s daughter in the movie musical franchise. He reprized his role in both the „Descendants” series „Descendants 2” and „Descendants 3”. Carson debuted his song with the soundtrack for the film franchise in 2015 for his first film.

Following her role in „Descendants,” the actress released her first single, „Rotten to the Core.” After signing with Hollywood Records in 2016, Carson pursued music, releasing the single „Love Is Named.” At the 95th Academy Awards, Diane Warren’s song „Applause” from the movie „Tell It Like a Woman” was nominated for an Oscar.

Outside of music and acting, Carson flexes her muscles as a brand ambassador. In 2020, Revlon signed the singer and actress as a brand ambassador. Carson is also a supporter of UNICEF, and has traveled with the organization to Brazil to speak in support of legislation to keep its girls in school.
