Set designs led to a lack of pink paint – variety

With some mysterious teasers and less than two months until the premiere of the live-action „Barbie,” audiences still don’t know exactly how the film will unfold. But the production team began revealing insights into the film — including how they caused an international shortage of pink paint.

Recently Architectural Digest Profile Along with production designer Sarah Greenwood, set decorator Katie Spencer and director Greta Gerwig, the team explained that they set out to „capture what’s so fun” about Barbie’s world, but specifically the subject of Architecture Digest: Barbie’s Dreamhouse.
